There is nothing quite like
sitting around a campfire...

DeckProtect™ resolves any concerns you may have about harming your valuable deck by using a fire pit.
Our exclusive thermal barrier made of volcanic rock fiber will block the intense heat generated under a fire pit and keep it from reaching your decking boards. DeckProtect™ is built to last. It is completely weather proof and will provide years of service in all kinds of weather.
Will a Fire Pit Harm Your Deck?
Not if you protect your deck with DeckProtect™
DeckProtect’s specially-designed thermal barrier will block the intense radiant heat (see image to the right) under a fire pit or chiminea and keep it from harming wood and composite decking.
A sturdy tray made of heavy gauge aluminum 1/16” thick has hundreds of holes that will allow rain water to drain. Heavy duty rubber feet keep the tray elevated above the deck.
Our exclusive thermal barrier is seated securely within the walls of the tray.
DeckProtect™ is available in five different sizes to accommodate a variety of fire pits, from narrow chimineas to very large fire pits.
In some cases, a DeckProtect™ that fits between the legs of your fire pit will provide adequate protection when it substantially covers the area under the bowl of the fire pit.
How DeckProtect™ Works
A specially engineered, dual-layer, Thermal Barrier made from volcanic rock fiber blocks transmission of heat.
Temperatures under Deck Protect™ are comfortably within the safety zone and way below the range that can cause damage to decking. The aluminum tray holds the barrier sections firmly in place.
Some fire pits, such as the one shown to the right, are designed in a way that does not leave enough room between the legs for a DeckProtect to adequately cover the surface that needs protecting. For extra safety and protection choose a DeckProtect™ size large enough for your fire pit to sit completely on top of it.
A half-inch of space below the tray allows air flow to keep moisture from accumulating on your deck. This avoids mildew and staining of the decking boards .
Heavy gauge aluminum. 1/16 inch thick. Solid construction of tray is weatherproof in all seasons. Sturdy rubber feet keep the aluminum tray 1/2” above the deck and are strong enough to support the weight of your fire pit and its contents including hardwood logs.
